Itinerary

Welcome to Tanzania! Upon landing at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you’ll be greeted and transferred privately to your lodge in Arusha. Spend the rest of your day relaxing and preparing for the adventure ahead. (Dinner & Overnight: Lodge – Half board)

Your Kilimanjaro journey begins at the Machame Gate (1800m). Traverse through banana and coffee plantations before entering the dense montane forest. The day’s trek concludes at Machame Hut (3000m), where on clear nights, Kibo’s summit may grace the skies. (6-7 hours walking)

Ascend towards Picnic Rock, offering early views of Kibo and the expansive Shira Plateau. Your camp at Shira Hut (3840m) awaits, presenting stunning panoramas as you settle in for the night. (4-5 hours walking)

Today features a scenic climb beneath the glaciers of the Western Breach, descending into the Great Barranco Valley (3900m). The camp here provides a breathtaking vantage point over the surrounding plains. (4-6 hours walking)

Conquer the Barranco Wall and proceed southeast of Kibo, taking in the expansive ice fields. The journey leads to Barafu Hut (4600m), where you’ll rest and prepare for the summit push. (6-7 hours walking)

Embark on a nocturnal ascent, aiming for Stella Point (5735m) by sunrise, with the option to continue to Uhuru Peak. Afterward, begin the descent to Barafu for lunch, followed by a journey to Mweka Camp (3100m). (11-14 hours walking)

The final descent through the tropical forest leads to Mweka Gate. From here, you’ll be transported to Mweka village and then to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your departure, marking the end of an epic adventure.
