Begin your Kilimanjaro quest upon arrival in Arusha. Relax in the comfort of your selected hotel or lodge, where a pre-climb briefing and gear check await to prepare you for the ascent. Any last-minute needs can be met with a quick visit to local shops.
The trek starts at Machame Gate (1,800m), winding through fertile banana and coffee plantations before entering the dense montane forest. Lunch at a halfway point precedes your arrival at Machame Hut (3,000m), offering early views of Kibo’s peak. [6-7 hours walking]
Elevate to Picnic Rock, reveling in vistas of Kibo and the expansive Shira Plateau. The gentle climb to Shira Camp near Shira Hut (3,840m) unveils panoramic landscapes. [4-5 hours walking]
Navigate beneath the glaciers of the Western Breach, then descend into the Great Barranco Valley (3,900m), where spectacular views and your campsite await. [4-6 hours walking]
Tackle the Barranco Wall, then traverse Kibo’s southeastern flank, with the Southern Icefields looming above. Arrive at Karanga Camp (4,000m), the last water stop before the summit. [4-5 hours walking]

Embark on a nocturnal ascent towards Stella Point (5,735m), aiming to witness sunrise from near the summit, with an optional venture to Uhuru Peak (5,896m). Afterward, begin your descent to Mweka Camp (3,100m), reflecting on the day’s achievements. [11-14 hours walking]
The final descent through the tropical forest leads to Mweka Gate. Journeying through local farms marks the end of your mountain adventure, followed by a transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your departure.
